I know we have talked about this before but I think a lot of my tank problems may be my old r/o unit. Someone told me today Costco has one with no waste water?? Any one know about this? Also do I really need DI? Thanks

i dont think its possible to get NO waste water from an ro,  just by the way it works, it has to reject somthing, or everything would be getting through so what would be the point of the ro?  i have heard of taking the waste water from one membrain and running it to a booster pump then ito another membrain and reclaiming some of the waste,  but not all of it

I dk. I was in
Pets Supplies Plus today to get cat food and one of the employees said there was a r/o unit being sold at Costco that has no waste water. Never heard of anything like that.

AHH, just looked that one up,   it looks like they use a booster pump to put the water back into the house plumbing,   looks clever!  i bet that with enough thinking that we could DIY one into doing the same thing.  but it would need a booster pump

here is a link to ebay

Hey this is a question about RO units...is there a way to hook it up under the faucet so you can have it come out of the faucet?? im' taking it that prob not an option because it would be technically no way to store it.  but dont know if some of you pros had come up with a good idea...Also could you use one of those  pure filters doesnt it play the same as RO/DI?/

Bulkreefsupply.com has a good selection of fittings and faucet adapters also.  Waste water can go to drain or if your "green" you can save it to another barrel to water plants, wash the car, and stuff.

got my RO unit today..the instructions are non existant...So im going to need help...I'm not connecting mine to the plumnbing the sink but bought a faucet connector..they gave me tube that doesnt fit over the facuet connector..its a hard 1/4 tube..so i used a airline tube and it just gets blowed out of the connections..i really dont know what to do..anyone have any ideas..i also need to fine a longer tube because my tank is about 20 feet from my faucet...

** if my faucet it blwing th tubes out does that mean my water pressue is to high..??

What kind of fitting is on the faucet adapter? Barbed or push-lok?  The 1/4" tube is probably for you waste line.

do you want to connect it to the faucet like I have mine D if so you need a quick disconnect. If you just want to hook it up with a T valve on the cold side to the copper pipe under the sink I have the right tubbing for that a long with a T valve I can give you. You close to me if you can't do it from there I can come by and help you if you want. You can order a quick disconnect from FosterSmiths and I recommend a steel adapter fitting from lowes rather than the plastic one you get with the kits and that you can get at lowes or HD. Let me know if you need that stuff and I'll dig it out of the draws for you
