Just wanted to share my experience with Marine Depot and Aqua Cave. We up graded our ballast to a dual ballast for our 250mh and needed new lamp cords. The baalast came from Aqua Cave and the lamp cords came from Marine Depot. They both answered any questions I had with anything from shipping to how to install the cords with-in one day of emailing them. They were very polite and knowledgable.

Both companies are great. I have ordered from aqua cave, marine depot, Dr. Fosters and Smith, Live aquaria, pacific east aquaculture, saltwaterfish, phishy business, salty critter, marine and reef, pet solutions, that fish place...and a few more I think. They are all great companies. I had a couple instances where I wanted some advice and sat on the phone for several minutes with both marinedepot/aquacave and they had no problem just giving advice etc. Same experience with saltycritter. So far they have all been great about time, customer service, and products arriving in good shape. I am glad you had a good experience as well.

Marine Depot, Big Als, Dr Foster & Smith, Sealife, The Fish place are all good places to order from.

Have you ever used Bulk Reef Supply for your additives. I use them for my chem's and they seem to have the best prices around. Anyone else used them before or have a better place to get Calcium, Mag., or buffer?

Ya, you can get most of that stuff from your local farm supply store. Currently I'm working on obtaining prices for all of those things coming directly from the manufacturer. It would definitely be coming in bulk.

On a side note if anyone is interested, I'm in the process of developing a new calcium supplement formula. It is more or less in the "test phase". However I don't have a system built for testing. (working on that too) So if anyone is interested in trying it out let me know and we can talk it over. It will be more effective than Kalkwasser. It will be using a product that costs 30 X more than kalkwasser coming from the manufacturer but could still be sold for less. (Cause I don't have a fancy label)
